Mangala Samaraweera: Public allowed to pay their respects

Today marks three months since former Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera succumbed to COVID-19.

His remains will be laid to rest at a private florist in Borella this morning. Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga paid her last respects this morning, our correspondent said.

The ashes of former Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera will be taken to Matara after 6 pm today and will be laid to rest at 2 pm tomorrow at the old Dutch Hall in Nupe, Matara.
