Car falls off to Mahaweli unable to control the speed

A car driven at high speed has fallen off to the Mahaweli river. 

It is reported that the driver was unable to control the speed resulting in the car toppling into the Mahaweli river at Ilukmodera on Kandy-Gurudeniya road.

Two persons have been rescued while another person is still missing.

Rescue operations are underway to locate the other missing person.
