Number of guests allowed at weddings increased

The Director General of Health Services has issued a new set of health guidelines with effect from today (01) until 15 December.

Accordingly, a maximum of 200 guests can attend a wedding without exceeding one third of the hall capacity. Up to 250 people can attend outdoor weddings.

Cinemas are allowed 75% of their seating capacity per session, while the capacity at office and professional meetings was limited to 150.

With the identification of 722 COVID infections yesterday, the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 563,989.

Among the new infected are three foreign nationals. Accordingly, the number of active infections in the country is 9,256.

The COVID death toll in the country also increased to 14,346 following the confirmation of 18 more COVID deaths.
