'Menike' goes on a world tour

A study of migratory birds has found that an endemic bird has flown 19,360 kilometres.

This bird is called 'Menike' and has been fitted with a GPS, which revealed the distance and trajectory of the animal

Accordingly, this bird named Menike has migrated from Mannar to Europe and returned to Mannar via the Arctic Ocean.
