Cyclonic storm 'Jawad' likely to hit Odisha, India

A low-pressure system in the Bay of Bengal has intensified into a cyclonic storm, Jawad.

According to the India Meteorological Department, the cyclonic storm is likely to touch near Puri in Odisha around Sunday noon.

Sixty-four NDRF teams have been earmarked to tackle the impending cyclone.

Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places of north coastal Andhra Pradesh.
