The railway crossing between the Palugaswewa and Galoya railway stations on the Maradankadawala-Habarana Trincomalee highway will be closed for four days in January, the Railway Department said.
This closure is due to the fact that the crossing will be repaired on 06, 07, 08, and 09 January.
Due to this, it will be partially closed on January 06 and 07 from 7:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. and on January 8 from 9 am to 10:30 p.m.
It is possible to use the crossroads with the assistance of the police during the partial closure.
However, vehicles traveling from Habarana to Maradankadawala on the Kekirawa Dambulla and from Maradankadawala to Habarana will be able to pass through Dambulla Kekirawa during the period when the crossing is completely closed.
Light vehicles, ambulances, and other vehicles can use roads from Habarana to Maradankadawala via Puwakpitiya to Palugaswewa with the assistance of the Police, the Railway Department said.
