The body of the late Ven. Buddhangala Ananda Thera has been placed at the All Ceylon Buddhist Congress Hall, Colombo 7.
The body which was laid to rest at the Jayaratne Private Flower Hall in Borella this morning was taken to the All Ceylon Buddhist Congress.
The body was laid to rest at the Buddhist General Assembly Hall after the Maha Sangha received the body and handed it over to family members.
Minister Sarath Weerasekera, the brother of the late Buddhangala Ananda Thera and other family members were present at the event.
The memorial service will be held at 1 pm tomorrow, after which the body will be flown to the Buddhangala Forest Hermitage in Ampara.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on December 31 at the Buddhangala Forest Hermitage, Ampara.
