High-level delegation from India arrives - further loan assistance to be discussed

A high-level government delegation from India landed in Sri Lanka.

They are here for a discussion on possible further loan assistance, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said.

Three officials from the Indian government arrived in Colombo on Thursday, June 23 for the meeting.

The delegation includes the foreign secretary of India, Shri Vinay Kwatra.

According to unconfirmed reports, the Indian government delegation led by Chief Economic Advisor V. Anantha Nageswaran is here to assess Sri Lanka's economic conditions and examine whether another tranche of financial package needs to be disbursed.
