India 111/3 (Hooda 47*, Kishan 26, Young 2-18) beat Ireland 108/4 (Tector 64, Chahal 1-11) by 7 wickets

Harry Tector cracked a career-best 64 not out off 33 balls, but India hunted down 109 in a 12-over shootout in the first T20I of the season at Malahide. After intermittent rain and a wet outfield delayed the start of play by just over two hours, Tector's one-man show led an Ireland rally from 22 for 3 to a competitive total.

Deepak Hooda and captain Hardik Pandya starred with the bat as India defeated Ireland in a rain-hit first T20I at the Malahide Cricket Club in Dublin.

Chasing a target of 109, India chased down the total with 16 balls to spare, with Hooda smashing an unbeaten 47, after Hardik was dismissed on 24 (12).

Earlier, Harry Tector scored an unbeaten 64 as Ireland managed to post a total of 108 for four in 12 overs against India.
