Indices closed in green as a result of price gains in counters such as Sampath Bank, Hatton National Bank and Hayleys with the turnover crossing Rs 1.3 Bn. High net worth and institutional investor participation was noted in Melstacorp and John Keells Holdings. Mixed interest was observed in Expolanka Holdings, Lanka IOC and Hayleys whilst retail interest was noted in Browns Investments, SMB Leasing nonvoting and Kotagala Plantations.
