Sri Lanka Stock Market: Week commences in red with ASPI declining marginally

ASPI declined marginally by 35.69 points (0.35%) to end the day at 10,025.40. S&P SL20 declined by 13.07 points (0.40%) to end the day at 3,224.25 Turnover was reported at Rs. 3.33 billion. Share volume was 103.33million. 

Indices closed in red as a result of price losses in counters such as John Keells Holdings, Commercial Bank and LOLC Holdings with the turnover crossing Rs 3.3 Bn.

High net worth and institutional investor participation was noted in Hayleys, John Keells Holdings and Melstacorp.

Mixed interest was observed in Lanka IOC, ACL Cables and Expolanka Holdings whilst retail interest was noted in Browns Investments, Industrial Asphalts and SMB Leasing.

Foreign participation in the market activity remained at subdued levels with foreigners closing as net buyers according to the broker firms.
