A 22-year-old individual has been arrested over an ATM card fraud carried out in Kurunegala Town.

The Police said the suspect is a resident of Kotikapala and was arrested in Kurunegala with 6 bank cards yesterday (29).

Investigations have revealed that the youth has deceived people using the ATM machine and had obtained their pin numbers after which he had swapped the bank cards.

The suspect had thereafter used this information to withdraw money from the ATM machine.

The Police stated that the suspect will be produced before the Kurunegala Magistrate’s Court today (30).
