The government Vete-ri-nary Association says there is a severe crisis due to the migration of around 60 vete-ri-narians this year.
Sisira Piyasiri, the Chairman of the association stated that there are no veterinary doctors for 6 divisions in the Nuwara Eliya district, which produces the largest amount of milk in the country.
He also stated that there is a shortage of veterinarians in the Wildlife Department.
