The Sri Lanka Bar Association has officially announced the commencement of the National Law Week, starting today, September 25th. This legal week will run until October 1st, serving as an occasion for legal professionals to engage with and assist the public in addressing various legal issues.
The initiative is particularly significant as it aligns with the upcoming 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka, slated for the following year. In celebration of this milestone, the National Law Week has been organized to provide free legal advice and solutions to individuals facing legal challenges.
During the course of this legal week, on September 27th and 28th, a team of senior lawyers led by the President's Counsel Lawyers will be available at the Aluthkade court complex in Colombo. They will offer pro bono legal consultations, aiding individuals in resolving their legal concerns.
This initiative reflects the commitment of the Sri Lanka Bar Association to serve the public and address their legal needs. It underscores the association's dedication to fostering a fair and just legal system that benefits all citizens.
The National Law Week serves as a platform for members of the legal profession to give back to the community and contribute to the welfare of society. By providing accessible legal advice and guidance, it aims to empower individuals to seek legal remedies and ensure their rights are protected.
As the legal community comes together to mark this special occasion, it reinforces the crucial role that the legal profession plays in upholding the rule of law and safeguarding justice for all Sri Lankans.
