Colombo, November 20, 2023 - In a move aimed at revitalizing the electricity sector, the Cabinet of Ministers in Sri Lanka has approved the proposed Electricity Sector Reforms Bill. The decision was announced today by the Minister of Power and Energy, Kanchana Wijesekera, following the Cabinet's endorsement.

The approved bill is set to undergo the next stages of the legislative process, including gazetting and presentation in Parliament for approval.
