2024 General Election: First polling result released NPP over 70%

The National People’s Power (NPP) has taken a commanding lead in the first result of the 2024 General Election, with the Galle polling division in Galle District showing the party securing the highest number of votes.

National People’s Power (NPP) – 39,707 (70.16%)
Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) - 9,410 (16.63%)
New Democratic Front (NDF) – 3,741
Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) – 1,885
Sarvajana Balaya (SRJB) - 715

NPP continues the trend of securing over 70% of the vote in the released results so far.
