The Railway Station Master's Association has warned the Railway General Manager that they will resort to trade union action if concerns over the non-approval of the recruitment procedure and promotions are not addressed within the next 14 days.

In a parallel development, members of the Revenue Assistant Independent Trade Union of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board staged a protest today (08) in front of the board's head office in Ratmalana. Their demands include resuming water bill issuance, increased uniform allowances, faster internal promotions, and the removal of conditions for immersion leave.

Additionally, the Teachers' and Principals' Trade Union Alliance has announced plans for trade union action if solutions to issues concerning promotions, salary increments, and service confirmations are not provided within three days.
