The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is mulling the future of the Indian Premier League (IPL), following growing tensions between India and Pakistan.

This is after the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals was abandoned yesterday (8) due to security concerns.

BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla said that they will take a call on the tournament's future depending on the situation today (9).

Indian media outlets speculate that the tournament will be shelved.

In the meantime, the remaining eight matches of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) have been moved to the United Arab Emirates.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that the dates and venues of those games in the PSL will be officially confirmed in due course.

This is after yesterday's (8) PSL fixture between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings in Rawalpindi was postponed, following an emergency meeting after a drone fell within the Rawalpindi Stadium complex, which Pakistan says was from India.
