Hiru TV's Hiru Star Season Five, a live singing reality show aimed at elevating Sri Lankan television to an international standard, is set to premiere today.
The fifth instalment of the show, which seeks to uplift the lives of contestants, will air every weekend from 7:30 PM.
Hiru Star, a 100% live singing programme, was launched in 2018 under a creative concept by the Chairman of the Hiru Media Network, Rayynor Silva.
Out of millions of applications, a large number of talented young men and women have been selected for the first stage of the competition.
Hiru Star Season Five will feature contestants showcasing their unique vocal abilities in solo, duet, and group performances, vying for audience votes.
The Hiru Star app is available for download, allowing viewers to cast their votes and determine the winner.
This season, the show will once again be broadcast from the state-of-the-art Hiru Life Studio complex, which is equipped with advanced sound, camera, and lighting technology.
Organisers say the fifth season of the show is expected to captivate audiences not only in Sri Lanka but also around the world.
