The Department of Examinations states that the deadline for making amendments to names, medium, and subjects on the admission cards for the 2025 G.C.E. Advanced Level (A/L) Examination and the 2025 General Information Technology (GIT) Examination will expire at midnight on October 31.


The Department, issuing a statement, announced that there will be no extension of the period for amendments after this date.


The statement also confirms that the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination will be held from November 10, 2025, to December 05, 2025, at 2,362 examination centers.


The General Information Technology (GIT) Examination will be held on Saturday, December 06, 2025, at 1,665 examination centers.


The Department further noted that the admission cards and school attendance registers for the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination for school applicants have already been sent to the relevant Zonal Education Offices.


Principals must collect these from the Deputy/Assistant Education Director in charge of examinations at their respective Zonal Education Office. Private applicants have had their admission cards sent to their personal addresses via mail.


The Department specifies the amendment process:


· Government School Principals must visit the website https://onlineexams.gov.lk/eic/, log in using the provided User Name and Password (School Code & Password), and make the necessary revisions.


· Private Schools (for the GIT Examination) must visit the website https://onlineexams.gov.lk/eic/index.php/clogin/psch and use the User Name and Password (School Code & Password) to carry out the amendments.


The Department of Examinations additionally informs that any required corrections to the candidates' names, medium, or subjects can be performed through these dedicated websites.
