Education Ministry Secretary Nalaka Kaluwewa confirmed that an investigation into the complaint verified the presence of the unsuitable content in the recently printed National Institute of Education (NIE) resource.
Authorities initiated an immediate inquiry into how the error occurred during the preparation process.
The Secretary further noted that a formal complaint regarding the matter will reach the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) tomorrow for a deeper probe.
