Sri Lanka suffered a narrow 15–14 defeat to Hong Kong in the opening match of the 2026 Asia Rugby Men’s Championship in Colombo.

The visitors edged a one-point victory after a tightly fought encounter at the Racecourse Grounds.

Sri Lanka is set to face South Korea in their second championship fixture on 13th June in Incheon.
