The Sri Lanka Air Force, alongside the Colombo Municipal Council and the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat, launched a drone operation on Wednesday to identify inaccessible dengue breeding grounds in Colombo.

The initiative addresses the ongoing dengue epidemic by using aerial technology to inspect rooftops, high-rise gutters, and other hard-to-reach locations to detect mosquito larvae.

Officials from Clean Sri Lanka, the Municipal Council, and public health inspectors took part in the initial deployment within the Colombo city limits.
