A special dengue prevention programme covering the entire country is been launched through all Sri Lanka Air Force bases to reduce the prevailing health risk.

Conducted under the instructions of the Ministry of Defence and the direct supervision of the Commander of the Air Force, the initiative involves personnel working alongside local government bodies, health sectors, and the community.

These teams identify and eliminate mosquito breeding grounds, conduct environmental cleaning drives, and raise public awareness.

This programme aims to ensure public health safety and control the spread of dengue, with plans for continuous implementation across all areas of the country.
