A 78-year-old father of two, residing on Community Centre Road, Hadigama, Piliyandala, died after his son attacked him with a mammoty.
Piliyandala Police confirmed the victim as 78-year-old Wijayadasa Perera.
The suspect fled the area, and police investigations to locate him remain underway.
