The International Cricket Council issued a special notice to Sri Lanka Cricket.
Issuing an official statement announcing decisions taken at the ICC Annual Conference held in Edinburgh, Scotland, the International Cricket Council stated that steps must be taken to hold an election for Sri Lanka Cricket as soon as possible.
The International Cricket Council also decided not to grant an opportunity for any representative of Sri Lanka Cricket to participate in ICC Board meetings until the election is held and a new governing body is appointed.
