Several spells of showers will occur today (19) in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, and Matara districts.
The Department of Meteorology stated this. The department also noted that showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Ampara and Monaragala districts after 2:00 p.m.
Mainly dry weather conditions will prevail over the rest of the island.
Fairly strong winds of about 40 to 50 kilometres per hour may blow at times over the Northern, North-Central, and North-Western provinces, and in the Matale, Hambantota, and Trincomalee districts.
