The number of child patients coming to obtain treatment at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children (LRH) in Colombo increased remarkably due to the current dengue epidemic situation, Director of the Hospital Doctor Pradeep Ratnasekera states.

The director of the hospital states by issuing a statement that the cooperation of parents and guardians became essential to ensure providing prompt and efficient medical treatment to children despite this heavy congestion.

Accordingly, the director of the hospital further requested the public to mandatorily bring the following 05 documents every time children are brought to the hospital for treatment or clinic visits.

Personal Health Number or Barcode Card (PHN / Barcode Card)

Child Health Development Record / Weight Record Book (CHDR / Weight Record Book)

Details regarding drug or food allergies (Allergy Records - Drug / Food)

Clinic Books

Discharge Cards or Diagnosis Cards

The Ministry of Health mentioned that maximum cooperation of the public is expected for this measure by the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children, and if further information is required regarding this, it can be obtained from the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children Director's Office telephone number 011 2693711 (extension: 307).
