A body of a man floating in the Mahaweli River was found in the Bothalapitiya area in Gampola, Gampola Police said.
The deceased was an individual aged around 48 years, police said.
It is currently reported that this individual was a resident of Nawalapitiya.
Police also mentioned that the body is currently placed at the Gampola Base Hospital.
