A Malaysian national was arrested by the Kompannavidiya Police along with a stock of 36,200 illegally imported cigarettes.
The 30-year-old suspect was arrested yesterday (25) afternoon in the parking lot of a restaurant located in the Kompannavidiya area.
A cab in the possession of the suspect was also taken into police custody.
Kompannavidiya Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
