Marking the sacred Esala Full Moon Poya Day, the 'Hiru Rajadharma Pratipada'programme, initiated under the devotional concept of Rayynor Silva, Chairman of Hiru Media Network, will take place tomorrow (29), at the historic Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara.

A series of meritorious acts, including almsgiving, observance of precepts, and meditation, will unfold throughout tomorrow from early morning at the Kelaniya sacred site.

Transforming this grand meritorious festival into an incomparable accumulation of spiritual perfection, a massive 'Sanghika Dana' will be offered tomorrow to 1000 Buddhist monks who will traditionally assemble at the Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara, mirroring ancient royal customs.

The monumental 'Sanghika Dana' for 1000 monks is fully sponsored by Rayynor Silva, Chairman of Hiru Media Network.

An alms offering hall exceeding 300 metres in length is being prepared again this year, adequately spacious to accommodate 1000 monks attending the almsgiving. It remains a notable feature that this constitutes the largest alms hall ever constructed in the country.

Devotees will have the opportunity tomorrow to witness this grand almsgiving with their own eyes and become partakers in the spiritual merit.

Additionally, in parallel with the 'Hiru Rajadharma Pratipada' programme, numerous other religious and practice-oriented offerings will take place tomorrow throughout the day centered around the historic Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara.

The worship of the seven Buddhas, namely Vipassi, Sikhi, Vessabhu, Kakusandha, Konagamana, Kassapa, and Gautama, honouring their boundless virtues, will also take place tomorrow evening.

Following that, alongside a flower offering and an incense offering, a grand illumination ceremony will illuminate the Kelaniya stupa in six colours and adorn the Kelaniya sacred grounds with electric lights.

Devotees are cordially invited to participate in the event and receive the blessings.
