Police curfew has been imposed with immediate effect until further notice on only three Grama Niladhari divisions in the area to control the tense situation that has arisen within and around the Mahara Prison premises, the police spokesperson stated.
Accordingly, this police curfew will be in effect for the following Grama Niladhari divisions:
- 246 - Kendaliyaddapaluwa - West
- 246 C - Kendaliyaddapaluwa - North
- 181 G – Dambuwa
Police stated that a police curfew is being imposed on the Ragama police division until further notice following the tense situation that occurred at the Mahara Prison this evening (01).
