A special series of public rallies covering all districts is scheduled to be held from the 5th of next month under the leadership of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Minister of Health and Media Nalinda Jayatissa says.

The Minister stated this while expressing views to the media.

Expressing views there, the Minister stated as follows:

"As the National People's Power, we are reorganising division councils at the village level for every Grama Niladhari division. This September 5th, large public rallies will be held in districts under the presidency of the President. What we say is that if there is a public opinion against the government like that, prove it and show it; that is all there is to do. Just look at the way we acted when we were in the Opposition."
