The death toll from the devastating floods across Nepal and Tibet has continued to rise, with hundreds of international travellers among the thousands reported missing.

According to the latest update from the Nepal Police, the number of recovered bodies in Nepal has increased to 794 as of 17:45 local time on Sunday.

However, a separate update from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority states that 781 people have been killed and 2,502 remain missing, highlighting ongoing discrepancies between official figures provided by multiple agencies.

In Tibet, Chinese state media reported an official death toll of 16, with 546 people recorded as missing, as rescue teams struggle to find survivors.

With Nepal attracting visitors worldwide for its mountains and sacred sites, foreign governments and local authorities have reported significant numbers of missing tourists.

India's Ministry of External Affairs confirmed that at least 320 Indian nationals are missing, while China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that nearly 100 Chinese nationals are missing in Nepal.

Additionally, the United States Department of State reported 90 missing Americans, and Nepalese police confirmed 62 missing Ukrainian nationals.

Officials further confirmed that 51 Malaysians travelling with Fishtail Tours and Travels are missing, while Australia's Assistant Minister for Immigration stated that 41 Australians remain unaccounted for.

Nepalese police reported 33 British nationals missing, with Chinese state broadcaster CCTV reporting an additional 15 British nationals missing in Tibet, though it remains unclear if there is overlap between the two figures.

Canada's Department of Foreign Affairs reported 30 missing Canadians, while smaller numbers of missing travellers have been reported from South Korea, South Africa, Portugal, the Netherlands, and New Zealand.
