Taekwondo+champion+Disas+Jithmin+excels

Eight students of Kiriwaththuduwa Pitipana South Dolahena Junior School have qualified for the cut-off marks at this year’s Grade 5 Scholarship Examination, recording a remarkable achievement in the school’s history.


Among them, Disas Jithmin Ranasinghe delivered an exceptional performance by scoring 150 marks.


Ten-year-old Disas Jithmin Ranasinghe has demonstrated outstanding abilities in both academics and sports, while also achieving notable success in Taekwondo.


Disas receives Taekwondo training from Sabam Udith Cyril Anthony under Master Dr. Cyril Anthony, a pioneer in introducing Taekwondo to Sri Lanka. A gold medallist and champion at the All-Island Taekwondo Championships in the Under-9 category, he has consistently demonstrated exceptional talent in the sport over the past three years.


Balancing sports training with his academic work and achieving an outstanding result at the examination reflects Disas’s dedication, discipline, determination and perseverance.


The achievement of eight students reaching the Scholarship Examination cut-off marks this year also marks a significant milestone in the school’s educational progress.


With Disas Jithmin Ranasinghe progressing in both academics and sports, he is expected to become a talented Taekwondo athlete representing Sri Lanka in the future, while also achieving excellence in education.
