The Court of Appeal has issued an interim order restraining the enforcement of a notice issued by the Director General of Coast Conservation requiring the demolition and removal of a restaurant situated in the Wellawatte beach area.
The directive is set to remain in force until 21 September.
The judicial order followed consideration of legal arguments presented by President’s Counsel Faiszer Musthapha, who represented the petitioner business during the proceedings.
