Helen Mirren gets star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

British actress Helen Mirren, who won an Oscar for her portrayal of Elizabeth the 2nd in "The Queen", received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.


The 67-year-old Mirren saw her star unveiled in front of the Pig 'N Whistle, one of Tinseltown's historic pubs, on Hollywood Boulevard.


Born in 1945 in the London suburbs, Mirren began her career on stage and was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company.


 She first appeared in films in the 1960s.
