The contents of the American sponsored resolution due to be voted against Sri Lanka during the upcoming United Nations Human Rights Council Session has been made public by certain Indian Media Institutions.
According to the Indian Express Sri Lanka is attempting to lobby the support of commonwealth nations.
Indian Media reports that one of the key facts stressed in the US resolution to be adopted against Sri Lanka includes the facilitation of the presence of UN rapporteurs in the island.
Further proposals contained in the US resolution also include enabling UN representatives to be able to visit the island devoid of the government's special permission in order to investigate allegations of killings, independence of the judiciary and freedom of expression.
