Safeguard the people with our country's money; President instructs officials

President Mahinda Rajapaksa stated that we should be prepared to take care of the people of this country with our own money by ensuring the people enjoy the dividends of development taking place in the country.

The President expressed these views at a function held in Sampath nuwara in Weli oya yesterday.


The President had also engaged in religious observances at the Awukana sacred premises yesterday and had looked in to essential renovation work that need to be carried out to protect the Awukana Buddha statue.
