Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Pieris informed the CID today that investigations, into the death of late Wasim Thajudeen, are required to be completed as soon as possible.
Senior state counsel appearing for the Attorney General’s Department said investigations into the incident would cost a large sum of money and take a long time to complete. He requested the court two months for the process.
In addition, Sri Lanka Medical Council informed the Court that the inquiry initiated against Dr. Ananda Samarasekera and his team has not yet been completed.
A team of forensic experts led by Dr. Samarasekera conducted the first post mortem on Thajudeen’s body.
