A group of residents surrounded the Ambalangoda Pradeshiya Sabha building demanding drinking water today.
Our correspondent stated that residents from Panamulla, Namal Sevana, Batapola, Delgahabedda and Kirimatiya held a protest in front of the Pradeshiya Sabha this morning.
The protestors have also kept the Divisional Secretary under siege.
Police were called to disperse the angry crowd.
