Police+warns+of+possible+traffic+congestion+in+Wattala+area

Due to the annual feast procession of the Wattala – Hekitta Sri Shiva Subramanium Swami temple, few roads in Wattala area can experience traffic congestions tomorrow and day after, police informed.

The procession of the feast will be held tomorrow from 2.30pm till 9pm and from 6am till 9am day after.

Tomorrow the procession will commence from Hekitta kovil and proceed through Palliyawatta, Elakanda, Kerawalapitiya, Hendala and arrive at the temple via Old Negombo Road.

Since the procession is scheduled to return to the kovil premises day after tomorrow police has requested motorists to take alternative routes during that time.
