Teachers' Unions accuse the Western Provincial Council of admitting students for Grade one in schools being contrary to the priority list available.

Secretary of All Ceylon Teachers' Union, Joseph Starlin speaking to Hiru news team stated that provincial council ministers are misusing the opportunity of priority offered to Defense Service officers' children.
