A power generator at Norochcholai breaks down

A power generator at the Norochcholai Coal Power Plant has become inactive this morning.

The Ministry of Power said that this machine broke down due to a technical fault.

There are three power generators at the Norochcholai Coal Power Plant and this is the second generation that has broken down.

As a result, Electricity supplies in many areas of the island have been interrupted.
