Police commenced investigations in search of weapons used to kill Anamalu Ranga.

The STF arrested another five suspects in connection with the murder of organized criminal Sampath Niroshan alias Anamalu Ranga and his accomplice Mohamed Imran yesterday.

The suspects were fleeing in a three-wheeler at the time of the arrest at Wattala.

Anamalu Ranga and Mohamed Imran were hacked to death at Madampitiya cemetery day before yesterday.

Meanwhile, three suspects including a brother of Kudu Roshan have been arrested by the STF in connection with the murder of Anamalu Ranga and Mohamed Imran during a raid.

The STF stated that two steel swords, a blunt object, a motorcycle and a mobile phone were also seized from the possession of the suspects.

A three-wheeler was found from the Madampitiya cemetery day before yesterday and, it was later found to have belonged to the wife of Kudu Roshan.

She is serving a jail sentence at the moment.
