The first election results of the Presidential election has been released.
It is the result of the postal vote in Galle District.
Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, the presidential candidate of the Sri Lanka Poduajana Peramuna received 25,099 votes (67.49%).
New Democratic Front Presidential candidate Sajith Premadasa polled 9093 votes (24.45%).
Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the presidential candidate of the Jathika Jana Balavegaya obtained 2450 votes (6.59%)
