Eight treasure hunters were caught while digging for artifacts at the Ipiliyagama Colony in Ruwanwella yesterday (07), police say.
Digging equipment and items of offering were also recovered.
Aged between 32 and 52 years, the suspects are residents of Wellampitiya, Ganemulla, Batuwatte, Avissawella and Ruwanwella.
