Woman arrested for transporting heroin to Pallekele Prison

Police have arrested a woman yesterday (01) for smuggling heroin to her son who is remanded in the Pallekele Prison in Kandy.

Pallekele Police stated that the woman had mixed heroin with brown sugar and taken it to the prison.

The arrested woman is a resident of the Suduhumpola area in Kandy and she is due to be produced before court today.
