Dharmasena Yakandawala, a Sri Lankan living in Canada, has qualified to contest the Canadian Parliamentary General Election which is scheduled to begin on 20 September.

He lives in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, and represents the Abbotsford area.

He is contesting from the New Democratic Party (NDP).

Dharmasena Yakandawala, who immigrated to Canada in 2006, is a lawyer by profession as well as a former judge.
