A survey report released by the Ministry of Education has revealed that 33% of first-grade students were playing games using mobile phones when schools were closed during covid.

Also, it has been revealed that 64% have watched television for more than one hour a day, and 7% have watched television for more than 03 hours.

The sample for this survey has been randomly selected at the provincial and regional education office level based on gender, medium of learning, school classification and income as well as location.

The related survey has revealed that the education level of children has suffered a severe setback during the Covid period, and 90% of the students have not been able to acquire sufficient literacy or knowledge of numbers.
